Profile: George M. Burden is a freelance journalist who has been a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada for over 20 years. He has served as a Regional Director of the Explorers Club and is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He is a past recipient of the Governor General's Medal and in 2014 succeeded his father as the 31st Baron of Seabegs, Stirlingshire, Scotland. Publications to date have included flying in an F-18 aerial combat exercise and descending in both a Canadian naval SDL deep sea submersible and the Victoria class submarine, HMCS Windsor.
